Area 12
Portuguese Citizenship and Immigration
For many families, Portuguese citizenship is a right that already exists and has simply not yet been recognised. We identify the applicable route, assemble the documentary evidence required and see the process through to the Portuguese birth record.

Overview
Need an assessment on this subject? The initial consultation establishes the right framework before any step is taken.
Book a consultationEach route to citizenship has its own requirements and a body of evidence that leaves no room for improvisation. Incomplete certificates, spelling discrepancies between documents and missing proof of the family link are the usual causes of formal requirements and refusals.
The work begins with a feasibility assessment: we verify the line of descent or the ground relied upon and state frankly whether the application is sustainable. Only then do we begin collecting certificates in Brazil and Portugal, rectifying records where necessary, and filing the application with the Central Registry Office.
In immigration matters our role is advisory: we analyse the legal framework applicable to your plans and identify the appropriate residence route, together with the requirements each one carries. Operational follow-up of the residence procedure before AIMA does not form part of our scope.
